1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PDFScan Pro ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

PDFScan Pro provides online tools for processing PDF files, including but not limited to merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, and AI-powered document analysis. The Service is provided via web browser and does not require software installation.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or malicious code.
• Use the Service to process illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content without authorization.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.
• Circumvent file size limits, daily operation limits, or other restrictions of your plan.

4. File Limits & Processing

Each plan has specific limits on file size and daily operations:

• Free: 5 operations per day, 25 MB max file size.
• Pro ($4/mo): Unlimited operations, 500 MB max file size.
• Business ($15/mo): Unlimited operations, 2 GB max file size, API access.

Files uploaded for server-side processing are automatically deleted within 1 hour. We do not guarantee permanent storage of any files.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through LemonSqueezy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds are available within 14 days of your initial purchase if you have not exceeded 10 operations.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be honored at their current rate for the remainder of their billing period.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the files you upload and process through the Service. PDFScan Pro does not claim any ownership over your content. The Service itself, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the property of PDFScan Pro and protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• Accuracy or reliability of any output or conversion.
• Security of files during transmission or processing.

We strongly recommend keeping backup copies of all files before processing. PDFScan Pro is not responsible for data loss or corruption.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFScan Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to PDFScan Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
