1. What PDFScan Pro Does

PDFScan Pro currently publishes 19 browser-based workflows for organizing, creating, inspecting, and optimizing supported PDF files. Every tool listed in the live catalog runs on your device. Server-backed uploads are not part of the public release.

2. File Handling

• Published tools process selected files in your browser and do not upload document contents to PDFScan Pro servers.
• Server-backed workflows such as OCR, Office conversion, repair, PDF/A conversion, and AI document processing remain offline until storage, retention, deletion, failure-recovery, and output fixtures pass.
• No public document workflow sends file contents to an AI provider.

3. Unreleased AI workflows

AI summarization, chat, translation, and structured extraction are not published features. If any such workflow is released later, it will identify its provider, processing location, retention terms, limitations, and review requirements before a user selects a document.

4. Accuracy of Extracted Content

Browser PDF operations can change document structure, metadata, form behavior, or visual fidelity. Compression savings vary by file. Text extraction only returns text already represented in a supported PDF; it is not OCR. Keep an original copy and inspect every result before relying on or distributing it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PDFScan Pro to:

• Process documents you do not own or are not authorized to modify;
• Bypass digital rights management or copyright protections;
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or contains malware;
• Upload content containing personal data of others without consent;
• Abuse free-tier limits via automation or multiple accounts.

6. Reporting Issues

Errors in tool output or copyright concerns can be reported to support@pdfscanpro.com. We investigate reports within 72 hours.

7. Limitation of Liability

PDFScan Pro is provided on an “as is” basis. We make no warranty that processing is error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. See our Terms for full details.
