PDFScan Pro collects minimal personal information necessary to provide our services. When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. When you use our tools without an account, we do not collect any personally identifiable information.
- Account data: Email address, display name, and hashed password.
- Usage data: Anonymous analytics including pages visited, tools used, and session duration.
- Payment data: Processed securely by LemonSqueezy. We never store credit card numbers.
2. File Handling
Your files are your property. We take file privacy seriously.
- Client-side tools: Many of our tools process files entirely in your browser. These files never leave your device.
- Server-side tools: For tools that require server processing, files are uploaded over an encrypted (TLS) connection, processed, and automatically deleted within 1 hour.
- We never read, analyze, share, or sell the content of your files.
- Files are stored temporarily in encrypted storage and are inaccessible to PDFScan Pro employees.
3. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with our site (Google Analytics). You can opt out via your browser settings.
- Advertising cookies: Used by Google AdSense to show relevant ads on our free tier. Pro and Business users do not see ads.

- Google AdSense: Advertising on the free tier.
- LemonSqueezy: Subscription billing and payment processing.
- Firebase: Authentication and crash reporting.

5. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove all associated data within 30 days. Processed files are automatically deleted within 1 hour of processing.
