Privacy policy

1. What we collect

PDFScan Pro collects only the information needed to operate accounts, payments, and service reliability.

• Account data: email address, display name, and an encrypted password hash.
• Usage data: privacy-focused analytics such as pages visited, active tools, and session stability.
• Payment data: handled securely by LemonSqueezy. We do not store full card details.

2. How files are handled

Your files remain your property. We separate browser-based tools from server-backed workflows on purpose.

• Browser-based tools process files directly on your device and do not upload them to our servers.
• Server-backed document workflows are not publicly released. Candidate v1 bounds queued input to 30 minutes, ends output access one hour after completion, excludes processing outputs from backups, records deletion failures for retry, and remains disabled until retention fixtures pass.
• We do not review, sell, or reuse the contents of your files for advertising or model training.

3. Cookies and advertising

We use essential browser storage for authentication. Privacy-focused analytics loads only after an explicit choice. No web advertising script is loaded.

4. Third-party services

Web providers currently include Plausible for optional analytics, LemonSqueezy for billing, and Cloudflare for edge delivery and protection. Plausible loads only after an explicit analytics choice. PDFScan Pro does not load web advertising scripts.

5. DocMint mobile app

DocMint processes scans, OCR, and core PDF operations on-device by default. If you sign in, buy premium, view a free-tier ad, or explicitly use cloud import, export, backup, or sharing, the minimum required data is sent to the relevant service. This can include our self-hosted account service, Apple or Google Play, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud, or the destination you choose from the system share sheet. AdMob requests are non-personalized and shown only after the required consent flow. We do not use document contents for advertising or AI model training.

5. Retention and rights

Account records are kept while your account is active. You can request deletion, access, correction, portability, or objection to processing by contacting us.
